SHAPE OUR FUTURE

Aloha,

Thank you for your interest in supporting Aloha United Way (AUW) through our workplace giving campaign.

AUW has been serving Hawaii for more than 100 years. Their mission of advancing the health, education, and financial stability of every Hawaii resident aligns with the work we do at HMSA as a health organization serving more than 750,000 members.

We hope to continue our proud legacy of giving to causes that improve our communities. Last year, HMSA and our employees and retirees donated more than $132,000 to AUW. HMSA also donated $100,000 to AUW’s ALICE Initiative. ALICE stands for asset limited, income constrained, and employed households.

AUW provides essential resources to the community such as the 211 Statewide Helpline and Safety Net funding, and is a partner to more than 250 agencies. Because of AUW, people can find shelter, crisis services, food distribution, job preparation and training, and much more.

Every dollar you donate helps someone in need. And every dollar is tax deductible. HMSA employees can easily participate through automatic payroll deduction. Your donation can be deducted in one lump sum or spread between 24 pay periods*. Even small amounts make a big difference:

$4.17 per paycheck* = $100 total donation
$10.42 per paycheck* = $250 total donation
$20.84 per paycheck* = $500 total donation
$41.67 per paycheck* = $1,000 total donation

Please consider a gift to AUW as an important way to make Hawaii a better place today and in the future. The pledge deadline is Friday, Nov. 8.

If you have questions, contact our AUW workplace campaign coordinators, Denise Inoue at 808-948-5165 or Donni-Rae Pang at 808-948-5930.

Mahalo for your generosity and support.
